The penultimate event of the 2025 Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series season took place on Saturday during a special Hall of Fame program at Lavonia Speedway and it was Maysville, Georgia native Bryan Tullis emerging victorious to collect the $2,000 first place prize money!  Bryan topped the 35-car field during qualifying to earn the pole position for the 25-lap main event.  At the storied Lavonia, Georgia facility in the headliner, Bryan took the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back in winning his first Red Clay 602 Late Model Series race of the season by 0.636 of a second.

Finishing behind Tullis’ #19 machine at the unfurling of the checkered flag was outside polesitter David McCoy.  With the lone exception of lap two, the “Bad Boy” ran in the second spot during the entirety of the feature contest.  Kenny Collins, a two-time winner on the tour in 2025, charged past nine competitors during the 25-lapper to round out the podium in third.  Brandon Haley started and finished fourth, while Brian Grumbles claimed the final position inside of the top five.

An impressive 35-car field converged at Lavonia Speedway on Saturday evening for round twenty of the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series.  Bryan Tullis and David McCoy laid down the fastest laps in their respective groups during Knowles Race Parts and Bodies qualifying and the top eight qualifiers from each group were automatically locked into the A-Main.  Ryan Clay and Brody Kellum topped the pair of B-Mains, while series regulars Kevin Fisher and Justin Howard relied on series provisionals to gain access into the main event.

The 2025 Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series is set to conclude on Friday night, October 24 at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee.  As part of the big Tarheel weekend, the 602s will headline the Friday portion of the two-day show and a $2,000 payday will be up for grabs.  Shaun Sise still sits atop of the series point standings heading into I-75 Raceway over Kevin Fisher, Justin Howard, Griffin Smith, and Dawson Lowe.  Additional information can be accessed online by pointing your web browser to www.i-75racewaypark.com.
