Bryson Hickman Wins on Championship Night at I-75; Shaun Sise Captures Red Clay Series Championship

The twenty-first and final round of the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series schedule took center stage on Friday night at I-75 Raceway and it was Ooltewah, Tennessee’s Bryson Hickman that emerged victorious to collect the $2,000 first place prize money!  Bryson stopped the clock second quickest overall during the Knowles Race Parts and Bodies qualifying session to earn the outside of the front row for the start of the 30-lap main event.  He then got the hole shot at the drop of the green flag and paced the field for the entire feature distance to secure his first series win of the 2025 season.

Finishing 3.110 seconds back at the unfurling of the checkered flag was runner-up Koulten Herbert, who won with the tour at the Sweetwater, Tennessee venue back on July 15.  Dawson Lowe picked off a pair of competitors to round out the podium in third, while polesitter Shaun Sise slid to a fourth place effort.  Tyler Dixon was on the move early and often, as he improved nine positions during the 30-lapper en route to a strong fifth place showing.

In the twenty-one Red Clay 602 Late Model Series races held this year, seventeen different winners celebrated in victory lane.  Only David Smith (3 wins), Kenny Collins (2 wins), and Griffin Smith (2 wins) picked up more than one victory this year.  When the dust had settled on Championship Night at I-75 Raceway, Shaun Sise was celebrated as the series Champion and was awarded an extra $4,000 for his efforts.  Kevin Fisher finished in the second spot in the final point tally, while Justin Howard rounded out the top three in the final points.
