The 2026 edition of the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series is about to get underway on February 6-7 in a pair of non-point races at Screven Motor Speedway!  Following an open practice for the 602 Late Model competitors later this evening, a $2,000 winner’s check will be on the line in Friday’s season opener.  Saturday’s annual ‘Winter Freeze’ finale will then shell out a $2,500 top prize for the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series stars.  Several contingency awards and extra bonuses are also up for grabs during the action-packed weekend at the Sylvania, Georgia facility.

C & S Auto Electric is putting up $100.00 for the Hard Luck Award each night, as well as an extra $100.00 for the Long Haul Award for both weekend races.  PPM Racing Products will sponsor a Hard Charger Award each night, which will be worth $100.00 of store credit.  As they did last year, Knowles Race Parts and Bodies will put up $100.00 of store credit for the Fast Time Award on both Friday and Saturday.

The Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series has also partnered with Cindy Knowles and Cruise with the Champions to award a cruise for two in 2027.  There will be a drawing at the end of the year that will include only our valued members.  To be in contention for the cruise for two, ensure that you become a member.  Membership is only $75.00 for the year.  Any inquiries or questions regarding membership can be pointed to Walter Tapp at 864-382-9957.
