David Smith remained red-hot with the Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series by capturing his third series win of the year on Tuesday night at Toccoa Raceway! David earned Fast Time honors during Knowles Race Parts and Bodies, LLC qualifying and later started the 25-lap main event from the outside of the front row. The Inman, South Carolina standout then withstood a rash of caution flags to lead each and every circuit at the storied Toccoa, Georgia facility to pocket the $2,000 first place prize money.

Eli Reece started third and finished 1.217 seconds back at the unfurling of the checkered flag to secure the strong runner-up performance. Frankie Beard, who was victorious early in the year with the tour at Sugar Creek Raceway, rounded out the podium in third. Sixth-starting David McCoy came home in the fourth spot, while polesitter Brandon Haley claimed the final position inside of the top five.

A total of 20 Red Clay 602 Late Model Series competitors piled into the Toccoa Raceway pit area on Tuesday for round thirteen of the series schedule. The “Bad Boy” David McCoy topped the speed chart in MRP Fantasy Racing Hot Laps, while Brandon Haley and David Smith were the fastest qualifiers in their respective groups. Smith’s overall fast lap of 13.519 seconds earned him a bonus from Knowles Race Parts and Bodies. Eight caution flags slowed the pace in the 25-lapper.
