Doubleheader in the Carolinas Awaits Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Competitors

The Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series schedule heats back up with a pair of $2,000 to win specials on July 31 and August 1 in the Carolinas.  Up first will be a stop at Laurens County Speedway in Laurens, South Carolina on Friday night.  The tour has made one previous visit this year to Laurens, as Nick Deitz took the checkers back on April 18.  On Saturday evening, the dirt-slinging competition will quickly turn to Harris Speedway in Rutherfordton, North Carolina for a highly anticipated showdown.

At Laurens County Speedway on Friday, the gates will open at 5:30pm and the drivers meeting is set for 7:00pm.  Joining the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series in action at the “Darlington of Dirt” will be the Thunder Bomber, FWD/Young Gun, 4-Cylinder, and Crown Vic divisions.  Grandstand admission is FREE for kids 4 and under, $10.00 for kids ages 5-12, $15.00 for ages 13-74, and FREE for adults ages 75 and up.  Pit admission will be FREE for kids 4 and under, $15.00 for kids ages 5-12, and $30.00 for ages 13 and up.

On Saturday at Harris Speedway, the gates will open at 4:00pm and the drivers meeting will get underway at 6:30pm.  Along with the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series on the racing card will be the Thunder Bomber, Pure Stock, Crown Vic, FWD, Young Gun Crown Vic, and LS Sportsman classes.  Grandstand admission will be $20.00, pit admission will be $35.00, and kids ages 10 and under are FREE.

The Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for both Laurens County Speedway and Harris Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Left Rear & Right Front: American Racer Pro 2 (88.0 / 90.0), and Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or American Racer Pro 4 (92.0).  The entry fee for the 602 Late Models will be $80.00 each night and transponders will be available to rent.
