Dylan Beaver Beats Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Foes at Sugar Creek Raceway for $2,500

Ryan Delph

Dylan Beaver, of Murphy, North Carolina, added his name to the list of 2025 winners with the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series on Saturday evening at Sugar Creek Raceway!  Dylan knocked down the quickest time during the qualifying session to land the pole position for the 30-lap main event.  He then led each and every circuit during the contest to bag the $2,500 first place prize money.

Finishing 0.893 of a second behind at the checkered flag was runner-up Frankie Beard, who won with the Red Clay Series at the Blue Ridge, Georgia facility back in early April.  Jody Wilson rounded out the podium in third, while sixth-starting Kenny Collins came home in the fourth spot.  Jamie Oliver, who started the race from the inside of the third row, finished right where he started in the fifth position.

A total of 18 competitors were in the pit area on Saturday at Sugar Creek Raceway for round seventeen of the tour.  Jamie Oliver went quickest in MRP Fantasy Racing hot laps prior to Dylan Beaver earning Fast Time honors in Knowles Race Parts and Bodies qualifying with a quick lap of 16.124 seconds.  The caution-free headliner lasted just over eight minutes in length.

Next up for the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series will be the special Dirt Invasion program at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina this Friday night, September 19.  A $1,500 winner’s check will be up for grabs at the 3/8-mile asphalt oval, while each feature starter will receive at least $350.  If you need more information or need to order tires, please call/text Ray Cook at 828-360-5353.  More can be found online by pointing your web browser to www.andersonmotorspeedway.com.
