Inclement Weather Pushes Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Visit to North Georgia Speedway to September 12

With heavy rain forecasted for the Chatsworth, Georgia area this afternoon, tonight’s $2,500 to win Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series visit to North Georgia Speedway has been postponed.  The same exact racing program will now take place next Friday, September 12 at the northern Georgia facility.  The postponement of tonight’s show sets up a lucrative doubleheader for the 602 Late Model competitors, as the Red Clay tour is at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Georgia on Saturday, September 13 for another $2,500 to win throwdown.

Joining the 602 Late Models on the racing card for September 12 at North Georgia Speedway will be the Limited Late Models ($1,200 to win), 604 Late Models ($1,000 to win), Open Wheel Modifieds ($400 to win), and Front Wheel Drives ($400 to win).  The pit gates will swing open at 3:30pm and the grandstands will start to allow fans into the venue starting at 4:00pm.  The Drivers Meeting will get underway at 6:30pm and Hot Laps will light up the racing surface starting at 7:00pm.

Grandstand admission for this special event will be $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids ages 5-11.  Pit admission will be $40.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids ages 5-11.  Children ages 4 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE.  Parking is also free in the field or $30.00 per car for fence parking plus your grandstand ticket.  North Georgia Speedway is located at 300 N GA Raceway Road in Chatsworth, Georgia.  More information can be found by calling Ray Cook at 828-360-5353 or by accessing www.NorthGeorgiaSpeedway.net.

The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for North Georgia Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Right Front: American Racer Pro 2, Left Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or Pro 4.  The entry fee will be $80.00 and transponders will be available to rent.

With fifteen events already in the books in 2025, Justin Howard currently leads the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series point standings over Shaun Sise, Kevin Fisher, Griffin Smith, and Dawson Lowe.  There are currently six races left on the 2025 schedule and the final Championship points will be based on a driver’s best eighteen finishes.
