Kenny Collins Claims Win in Richest 602 Race in Winder-Barrow Speedway History
Ryan DelphFor the second time in 2025, Kenny Collins celebrated in Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series victory lane on Saturday night at Winder-Barrow Speedway! Kenny stopped the clock second quickest during Knowles Race Parts and Bodies qualifying to earn the outside of the front row for the start of the 30-lap headliner. The Colbert, Georgia ace then led from flag-to-flag in the richest 602 feature in the history of the Winder, Georgia venue to pocket the $2,000 payday.
At the unfurling of the checkered flag, Kenny was out in front of runner-up Bryan Tullis by 5.975 seconds. Tullis, who earned the pole position by virtue of laying down the quickest lap overall during the qualifying session, bagged $1,000 for his best feature effort with the tour this year. Recent Anderson Motor Speedway winner Mike Davidson started and finished third to round out the podium. Evan Bell moved up a spot to place fourth at the checkers, while series regular Kevin Fisher charged past a trio of competitors to land in the fifth position.
Kenny Collins drove a #00 Barry Wright Race Cars ICON machine with sponsorship in part from Phoenix Roofing Systems, Fox Diesel Services, Southeast Misc. Erectors, Perdue’s Paint & Body, Willco Company, Georgia Sprinkler, Devine Towing & Recovery, Superior Electrical Solutions, Scott Ray Excavating, BSN Sports, Pulatty Farms, Collins Signs, Boswell Oil, and VP Racing Fuels.
