Penultimate Event of Red Clay Series Schedule Takes Place Saturday at Lavonia Speedway
Ryan DelphThe penultimate event of the 2025 Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series schedule takes place this Saturday night, October 18 at Lavonia Speedway. The track’s Hall of Fame Race is on tap on Saturday and the 602 Late Models will compete for a $2,000 first place prize in an event presented by Tuxedo Glass & Mirror. The visit on October 18 will mark the second trip of the year for the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series to the historic Lavonia, Georgia facility, as Jay Coen topped a nineteen car field back on March 22.
In the first nineteen races of the tour this year, fifteen different winners have celebrated in victory lane. Seymour, Tennessee ace Shaun Sise currently sits atop of the Red Clay Series point standings ahead of Kevin Fisher, Justin Howard, Griffin Smith, and Dawson Lowe. The final Championship points will be based on a driver’s best eighteen finishes.
The pit gates will open at 3:00pm on Saturday at Lavonia Speedway, while the grandstands and trackside parking will both open at 5:00pm. The driver’s meeting is set for 6:30pm and cars will start to light up the racetrack at 7:00pm. Adult admission for the grandstands will be $20.00, for trackside will be $30.00, and for the pits will be $40.00. Kids ages 12 and under will be admitted on the grounds for FREE.
Joining the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series on the Hall of Fame racing card will be the Limited Late Model ($3,000 to win), Street Stock ($800 to win), Stock Car Challenge ($700 to win), Stock 4 ($600 to win), and FWD ($350 to win) divisions. The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for Lavonia Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Right Front: American Racer Pro 2, Left Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or Pro 4.
