
Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Gears Up for Peach State Doubleheader on September 12-13
Ryan DelphThe Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series starts the homestretch of the 2025 season this weekend in the Peach State with a pair of $2,500 to win shootouts. On Friday night, September 12, the doubleheader for the 602 Late Model competitors kicks off at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia. The weekend will then conclude on Saturday evening, September 13 at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Joining the 602 Late Models on the racing card on September 12 at North Georgia Speedway will be the Limited Late Models ($1,200 to win), 604 Late Models ($1,000 to win), Open Wheel Modifieds ($400 to win), and Front Wheel Drives ($400 to win). The pit gates will swing open at 3:30pm and the grandstands will start to allow fans into the venue at 4:00pm. The Drivers Meeting will get underway at 6:30pm and Hot Laps will light up the racing surface starting at 7:00pm.
Grandstand admission for this special event will be $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids ages 5-11. Pit admission will be $40.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids ages 5-11. Children ages 4 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE. Parking is also free in the field or $30.00 per car for fence parking plus your grandstand ticket. At Sugar Creek Raceway on September 13, the Street Stock ($1,500 to win), 604 Late Model ($1,000 to win), Limited Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Front Wheel Drive, Pony Stock, Strictly Stock/Crown Vic, and Sportsman divisions will be joining the 602 Late Models in racing action. The pit gate will open at 3:00pm and the grandstands will follow suit at 5:00pm. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:00pm, Hot Laps will take to the racetrack at 6:30pm, and racing gets underway at 7:00pm.
Adult admission is $20.00 into the grandstands and $40.00 into the pit area. Kids ages 11-15 will be admitted into the stands for only $15.00 and into the pits for only $25.00. Children ages 10 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE. General parking is also FREE, while tailgate fence parking is $25.00 plus general admission. The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for both events will be Left Front: Open, Right Front: American Racer Pro 2, Left Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or Pro 4. The entry fee will be $80.00 each night and transponders will be available to rent.

There are currently six races left on the 2025 schedule and the final Championship points will be based on a driver’s best eighteen finishes.
