Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Kicks Off Hectic Stretch this Saturday, July 12 at Harris Speedway

A very hectic stretch for the Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series, which includes six series events from July 12-25, will kick off this Saturday at Harris Speedway in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. A $2,000 payday will be up for grabs for the 602 Late Models in the lone series stop of the year to the Tar Heel State. Justin Howard, of Elijay, Georgia, currently sits atop of the series point standings over Dawson Lowe, Shaun Sise, Kevin Fisher, and Hunter Atkinson heading into the tenth series event.

In the nine Red Clay Series shows held so far in 2025, nine different winners have graced Schaeffer’s Oil victory lane. Kenny Collins (Senoia Raceway), Jay Coen (Lavonia Speedway), Griffin Smith (Buckshot Speedway), Frankie Beard (Sugar Creek Raceway), Dawson Lowe (Lake View Motor Speedway), Hayden Cardwell (I-75 Raceway), David Smith (Wythe Raceway), Luke Cooper (Laurens County Speedway), and Kenny Peeples, Jr. (Wythe Raceway) have all taken the checkers so far in 2025.

Joining the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series at Harris Speedway will be the Street Stock ($800 to win), Thunder Bomber ($700 to win), Pure Stock ($400 to win), Front Wheel Drive ($300 to win), Crown Vic ($300 to win), and Crown Vic Young Gun ($250 to win) divisions. The track will also have a Meet & Greet during intermission, as fans will be invited down to the frontstretch to meet their favorite drivers and see the cars up close and personal.

The gates will open at Harris Speedway on Saturday, July 12 at 4:00pm. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6:30pm and hot laps will light up the racetrack shortly thereafter. Adult grandstand admission will be $20.00, while adult pit admission will be $35.00. Children ages 12 and under will be admitted onto the grounds for FREE. The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for Harris Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Right Front: American Racer Pro 2, Left Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or Pro 4. The entry fee will be $80.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
