Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Set for Battle in Sons of Slide Jobs 25 at North Georgia
Ryan DelphAfter a successful series debut at Cherokee Speedway over the weekend, the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series competitors will have a quick turnaround to be ready for battle in the ‘Sons of Slide Jobs 25’ this Friday, June 26 at North Georgia Speedway. Round eight of the tour will shell out a $2,000 winner’s check at the Chatsworth, Georgia facility.
So far in 2026, there have been six different winners in the first seven series events. Wyatt Coffey (Screven Motor Speedway), Cody Overton (Screven Motor Speedway), Bryson Hickman (I-75 Raceway), Nick Deitz (Laurens County Speedway), Chris Woods (Travelers Rest Speedway), and Dawson Lowe (North Georgia Speedway, Cherokee Speedway) have all secured Red Clay 602 Late Model Series triumphs. Lowe currently sits atop of the series point standings by thirty markers over Cass Fowler with Jim Gray, John Snow, and Ryan Clay rounding out the top five.
On Friday at North Georgia, the pit gates will open at 3:00pm and the grandstands will start to allow fans into the venue an hour later at 4:00pm. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6:30pm and cars will hit the racetrack at 7:00pm. Adult grandstand admission will be $20.00, while kids ages 5-11 will be admitted into the stands for $10.00. A pit pass for adults will be $40.00, while kids ages 5-11 will be allowed into the pit area for $15.00. Children ages 4 and under are FREE in both the grandstands and the pits.
Joining the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series on the racing card will be the Late Model, 604 Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Front Wheel Drive, and Stock FWD classes. The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for North Georgia Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Left Rear & Right Front: American Racer Pro 2 (88.0 / 90.0), and Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or American Racer Pro 4 (92.0). The entry fee for the 602 Late Models will be $80.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
