Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Set to Invade Lake View Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 12

The fifth stop of the 2025 campaign for the Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series will take place this Saturday evening, April 12 at Lake View Motor Speedway in Nichols, South Carolina! So far this year, four different drivers have celebrated in victory lane on the tour and Hunter Atkinson, of Clermont, Georgia, finds himself atop of the season-long point standings. Saturday’s victor of the ‘Alternative 30’ at Lake View Motor Speedway will pocket the $2,000 first place prize out of a total posted purse of over $7,000.

The big event, which is being presented by Cagle Racing Automotive in Hopkins, South Carolina, will get underway on Saturday with hot laps starting at 5:30pm. The pit gates will swing open at 2:00pm, the grandstands will start to allow fans into the facility at 3:30pm, and the drivers meeting will get underway at 5:00pm. Adult admission into the grandstands will be $25.00, while pit admission for adults will be $40.00. Children ages 8 and under will be admitted onto the grounds for FREE!

Joining the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series at Lake View will be the Ultimate Super Late Model Series, which will shell out a $5,000 winner’s check. Also on the racing card on Saturday will be the Southern Wedge Late Model Association ($1,000 to win), Sharp Mini Late Models ($1,250 to win), Street Stocks ($750 to win), Stock V8 ($500 to win), and Juice Boxes. There will also be an open practice session from 5:30pm-9:00pm on Friday, April 11. Lake View Motor Speedway is located at 523 Race Track Road in Nichols, South Carolina. The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for Lake View will be Left Front: Open, Right Front: American Racer Pro 2, Left Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Pro 4. The entry fee will be $80.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
