Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Shifts Schedule for Next Weekend; $2,500 Now Up for Grabs at North Georgia Speedway

With fifteen events already in the books for the Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series in 2025, round sixteen of the tour was scheduled for Saturday, August 16 at Wythe Raceway. Track and series officials have canceled the $2,000 to win event, which was slated to be the third stop of the year to the sprawling Rural Retreat, Virginia speedplant. The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series looks forward to working with the Brown family again and returning to the track in 2026.

Replacing the Wythe show for next weekend will be a visit to North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia on Friday evening, August 15. A $2,500 top prize will be up for grabs for the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series competitors at the northern Georgia oval. The tour was just in Chatsworth on July 25 with Griffin Smith picking up the victory.

Joining the 602 Late Models on the racing card for August 15 at North Georgia Speedway will be the Limited Late Models ($1,200 to win), 604 Late Models ($1,000 to win), Open Wheel Modifieds ($400 to win), and Front Wheel Drives ($400 to win). The pit gates will swing open at 3:30pm and the grandstands will start to allow fans into the facility starting at 4:00pm. The Drivers Meeting will get underway at 6:00pm and Hot Laps will light up the racing surface starting at 6:30pm.

Grandstand admission for this special event will be $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids ages 5-11. Pit admission on August 15 will be $35.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids ages 5-11. Children ages 4 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE. Parking is also free in the field or $40.00 per car for fence parking plus your grandstand ticket. The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for North Georgia Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Right Front: American Racer Pro 2, Left Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or Pro 4. The entry fee will be $80.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
