Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Starts 2026 Campaign in Winter Freeze at Screven Motor Speedway

Following a successful 2025 season, which saw seventeen different feature winners in twenty-one races, the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series is set to kick off the 2026 campaign this weekend with an inaugural visit to Screven Motor Speedway!  The ‘Winter Freeze XVI’ is on tap at the Sylvania, Georgia oval this week and the 602 Late Models will compete on February 6-7 in a pair of non-point races.  After an open practice session for the series drivers on Thursday, the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series competitors will vie for a $2,000 top prize on Friday and a $2,500 paycheck on Saturday.

Joining the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series on the racing card during the three-day ‘Winter Freeze XVI’ extravaganza will be the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties, CRUSA 604 Late Models, CRUSA Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, SEHA Hornets, SCDRA 4 Cylinders, and Crown Vics.  The pit gates will open at 9:00am each day, while the grandstands will open at 1:00pm on Friday and 11:00am on Saturday.  Hot laps are slated to get underway around 6:00pm on Friday evening and at 4:00pm on Saturday afternoon.

For Friday’s event, grandstand admission will be $25.00 for adults and pit admission will be $45.00 for adults and $25.00 for kids ages 8 and under.  For Saturday’s finale, grandstand admission will be $35.00 for adults and pit admission will be $55.00 for adults and $30.00 for kids ages 8 and under.  All weekend long, kids ages 12 and under will be admitted into the grandstands for FREE.

The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for Screven Motor Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Left Rear & Right Front: American Racer Pro 2 (88.0 / 90.0), and Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or American Racer Pro 4 (92.0).  The entry fee for the 602 Late Models will be $80.00 each night and transponders will be available to rent.  If you can’t make it to the track, we invite you to watch all of the action LIVE on FloRacing.
