Red Clay Series Rolls Into I-75 Raceway and Sugar Creek Raceway on July 3-4
Ryan DelphThe Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series will celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with a pair of weekend bashes in the states of Tennessee and Georgia. Up first will be a visit to I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee for a $2,000 to win throwdown on Friday night, July 3. The doubleheader will then conclude on Saturday evening, July 4 with a $2,500 payday up for grabs at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Both programs will feature red hot racing action and giant fireworks shows!
So far in 2026, there have been seven different winners in the first eight series events. Wyatt Coffey (Screven Motor Speedway), Cody Overton (Screven Motor Speedway), Bryson Hickman (I-75 Raceway), Nick Deitz (Laurens County Speedway), Chris Woods (Travelers Rest Speedway), Booger Brooks (North Georgia Speedway), and Dawson Lowe (North Georgia Speedway, Cherokee Speedway) have all secured Red Clay 602 Late Model Series triumphs. Lowe currently sits atop of the series point standings by twenty-eight markers over Cass Fowler with Jim Gray, John Snow, and Bryson Hickman rounding out the top five.
At I-75 Raceway on Friday, the pits and tier parking open at 3:00pm, the grandstands open at 4:00pm, and hot laps take to the racetrack at 7:00pm. Joining the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series will be the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series ($5,000 to win), 604 Late Models ($1,000 to win), Street Stocks ($1,000 to win), Front Wheel Drives ($400 to win), Thunder ($300 to win), and B-Sportsman ($200 to win).
Grandstand admission will be $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids ages 6-11. Admission into tier parking will be $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids ages 6-11. A pit pass will be $45.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids ages 6-11. Children ages 5 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE. At Sugar Creek Raceway on Saturday, the pit gates open at 3:00pm, the grandstands open at 5:00pm, and the drivers meeting is set for 6:30pm. In addition to the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series, the Late Models, 604 Crate Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Hobby Sportsman, SCDRA Stingers, and Stock Front Wheel Drives will be on the racing card. A Boom-n-Zoom 100-lapper for the Southern Nationals Enduros will then cap off the exciting evening and a $2,500 top prize will be on the line.
Grandstand admission will be $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids ages 6-12. Pit admission will be $40.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids ages 6-12. Children ages 5 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE. Trackside parking is also available for an extra $25.00 plus general admission. The Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for both I-75 Raceway and Sugar Creek Raceway will be Left Front: Open, Left Rear & Right Front: American Racer Pro 2 (88.0 / 90.0), and Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or American Racer Pro 4 (92.0). The entry fee for the 602 Late Models will be $80.00 each night and transponders will be available to rent.
