With six different winners in the first six series races, the Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series roars into the renowned Cherokee Speedway on Saturday, June 20!  So far in 2026, Wyatt Coffey (Screven Motor Speedway), Cody Overton (Screven Motor Speedway), Bryson Hickman (I-75 Raceway), Nick Deitz (Laurens County Speedway), Dawson Lowe (North Georgia Speedway), and Chris Woods (Travelers Rest Speedway) have all secured Red Clay 602 Late Model Series triumphs.

The 6th edition of the ‘Robbie Weaver Memorial’ will take center stage on Saturday at the “Track Your Momma Warned You About” and a $2,000 payday will be up for grabs.  An open practice session will also be available to the 602 Late Model competitors on Friday, June 19.  Cherokee Speedway is located at 153 Speedway Road in Gaffney, South Carolina.  The track phone number is 864-505-9199 or you can learn more about the venue online at www.cherokee-speedway.com.

In addition to the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series competitors vying for a $2,000 top prize on Saturday, June 20, the SEHA ($3,000 to win), Thunder Bomber ($800 to win), Crown Vic ($800 to win), Pro 4 ($500 to win), and Young Gun FWD ($300 to win) divisions are also on the racing card.  The gates will open at 4:00pm, the driver’s meeting is set for 6:30pm, and hot laps will take to the track shortly thereafter.  Adults will be admitted into the grandstands on Saturday for $20.00 and into the pit area for $40.00.

The Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule at Cherokee Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Left Rear & Right Front: American Racer Pro 2 (88.0 / 90.0), and Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or American Racer Pro 4 (92.0).  The entry fee for the 602 Late Models will be $80.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
