
Third Round of Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Pays $2,000 Friday at Buckshot Speedway
Ryan DelphThe Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series will roll into Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Alabama this Friday evening, March 28. Round three of the series schedule will shell out a $2,000 first place prize for the 602 Late Models. After the first two events, which were won by Kenny Collins and Jay Coen, Hunter Atkinson will bring the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series point lead into Buckshot Speedway. The Clermont, Georgia ace leads by sixteen markers over Kevin Fisher and is ahead of third place Dawson Lowe by twenty points.
At Buckshot on Friday, the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series will join the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series and the Super Late Models will race for a $7,553 paycheck. Other classes in action this Friday include the Open Wheel Modifieds ($700 to win), Factory Stocks ($400 to win), Crown Vics ($400 to win), Buzz 6’s ($400 to win), and Buzz 4’s ($400 to win). Adult admission into the stands will be $20.00, while adult admission into the pit area will be $45.00.
The racing program at Buckshot Speedway will be sponsored by Franklin Enterprises and will start with the Driver’s Meeting at 6:45pm. Hot Laps will then take to the racetrack starting at 7:00pm. There will also be an open practice session for all divisions on Thursday, March 27 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Buckshot Speedway is located at 1034 County Road 76 in Clanton, Alabama. The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for Buckshot will be Left Front: Open, Right Front: American Racer Pro 2, Left Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2, Pro 4.
